The Venen markings are black tattoo-like markings on the skin of a Venen male. When the Venen were first discovered by the galaxy, it was thought that these markings were tattoos but after further study of the species, it was known that the markings were a part of the Venen's skin from the day they are born. Venen males are covered in the markings all over their body, but females do not have these markings except for a circular marking on their arms. Scientist have yet to figure out why only males have these markings and females do not.
