Simon is the nerdy son in the Martin family. He is the first to notice that the zombies are returning to normal. He has been shown to be bullied very much at school, even when he and Carly are the last living students at the school. Some of the fans have speculated that Simon had been bitten sometime prior to the first episode and has become (or is becoming) a zombie. The speculation began in the episode Our Apocalypse when a fly landed on Simon's head when the zombies are outside and the fact he was wearing make up, claiming it was a pimple. In Back to School, the speculation was proven when Simon went to the bathroom during class, saying that he needed to put his contact lens back on. In the bathroom, it had appeared that Simon had the eyes the zombies have when he put the lens back on.
