Generation §, also known as Generation Sim or Generation VII, is the seventh generation of Pokémon video games. Like previous generations, the first installments, Pokémon Sunstone and Pokémon Moonstone, were released as a pair. Like previous generations, with the exception of Generation V, a third version, Pokémon Obsidian Version, was released afterwards. Kyros, the new region introduced in the generation, is known to be quite close to the other regions featured in previous generations, although is far more high-tech. Unlike previous generations, Kyros is not based on a place from Earth.
