A summon-nin is a ninja that specializes in summoning jutsus, but usually can do no other jutsu. They have a unique connection with animals and plants, and most feel at home not in civilization, but in the wild. Summon-nin can improve their speed of summoning by using a chakra-imbued staff and saying the name of the summon they wish to call forth. It is unknown how these chakra-imbued staves can replace the handsigns required for the summoning jutsu, but it is known that it has something to do with each staff's internal structure.
