Philip III (Tristanian: Philippe III), also known as Philip the Great, was a King de Tristain. He was said to be king two generations before Henrietta, Queen de Tristain. He was Henrietta's grandfather. Beatrice claimed connection to the royal house of Tristain through Philip. Philip was 35 when Karin de Maillart became a knight. Marianne, Philip's only daughter, was 13.
