House Prestene was a House Major on Jackson's Whole. It is not known what their main economic functions were, but they controlled the jumpstation that led into Cetagandan-empire-controlled space. It was believed on Barrayar that they were at least partly controlled by the Cetagandans and that their attack on House Cordonah was part of an attempt to take over Jacksonian space.
