On the 5th November, 1605, the English House of Lords is ripped apart by an explosion on the State Opening of Parliament, killing the king and most of the present MPs. The attack, executed by a group of Catholic revolutionaries under one Guido Fawkes, acted as the trigger to national religious rebellion, in which the assassinated king's daughter, Elizabeth of Bohemia, was installed as queen. The event was to echo in eternity, and history would never be the same again.
