The Paladin-class was a type of Federation starship in active service in the 24th century. Ships of the class were designed to accomodate a crew of thirty. In 2369 (stardate 46935), the Paladin-class USS Valkyrie was lost with all hands and presumed destroyed after engaging the Borg at the planet Uridi'si. The remains of the Valkyrie were later discovered in the Gamma Quadrant by the USS Defiant in 2376. (DS9 - Mission Gamma novel: Lesser Evil)
