Inga was Mathilde's cousin, and a prostitue in Jena. She was part of the group approached by Gretchen Richter to form the nucleus of the Committees of Correspondence. Inga thought of several students among her clients who would be receptive to the idea Richter presented. Inga was particularly enamored with a client named Joachim. She thought he was nice, and even let him owe for her services. Inga could sign her name, but was otherwise illiterate.
