Japan is a powerfull nation in Asia, It controles both eastern China and the Japanese islands directly and officaly controls southern korea and China although they are granted self government. It emerged from isolation in the early 19th century and through a period of wars and conflicts secured control of most of China. Today it is a major economic power, produces 60% of the worlds electronics and has the second largest navy in the world.
