Big Kid was one of several young men who were drinking near the spot where Joseph Adama tried to take William fishing. Big Kid made derogatory comments about Taurons. Joseph told William to ignore the group, but William hit Big Kid on the head with a thrown rock and followed up with punches. Joseph had to pull his son off Big Kid.
