Justice Strauss' house first appears in The Bad Beginning. It is situated in the city, on the opposite side of the street from Count Olaf's House. The house features a library where the Baudelaires find a cook book for puttanesca sauce and where Klaus finds a book on nuptial laws, which helps him discover Olaf's plan to marry Violet. Due to Justice Strauss's unknown fate in the Hotel Denouement fire, it is unknown of the fate of the house as well.
