Task Force BLACK is an unconventional warfare unit of the Office of Naval Intelligence that became active in the years following the end of the Human-Covenant war. It was responsible for carrying out many black operations of extreme sensitivity during this period, tasked with ensuring the subversion of the former Covenant races. Task Force BLACK operates under the supervision of Admiral Serin Osman and is classified as an asset of Core Four, placing it outside of the divisional hierarchy of ONI, while also granting its members a significantly high level of autonomy.
