Serena returns from her trip to Spain with Poppy and Gabriel. But as Chuck points out, she wasn't with Poppy the whole time but instead, Gabriel, who she is now avoiding. Blair and Nate are now in a relationship and Blair wants to be a socialite now that her dream of going to Yale is gone. When Nate tells her that he got into Columbia even though his grandfather pulled some strings to get him into Yale, she feels disheartened.
