Highway 9 is only 16km long. It starts between Rosedale and Bridal Falls at a junction with Highway 1, and immediately heads north. It crosses the Fraser River into Agassiz, just north of which it merges onto Highway 7. The two highways travel together (Highway 7 going east and highway 9 going west) for just a short distance before Highway 9 goes north to its end point in Harrison Hot Springs.
