Denton Greenbriar was a Human male serving in Starfleet in the 24th century, and was at one time widely regarded as one of the most decorated command officers in the fleet. By the 2330s, Greenbriar was serving as commanding officer of the Constellation-class USS Cochise. In 2333, Greenbriar was among the many command officers attending Admiral Arlen McAteer's convocation at Starbase 32. At the preceding cocktail party, Greenbriar was the only starship commander to introduce himself to newly-promoted Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Stargazer. (STA novel: Gauntlet)
