Old Robot is a nickname given to one of the original robots. Although he had been dead for ages, Kat managed to bring him back to life. While alive he explained why the robots of his time decided to turn themselves off and lock themselves down in The Tomb. After only a short while he asks Kat to turn him back off, because it is not his time anymore. Before Kat does so, Antimony asks how the Court was built, to which he replies: "The court? It grew from the Seed Bismuth". His reactivation and deactivation was one of the initial causes for the formation of Kat's robot cult.
