A DEMP gun, also known as an Anti-Droid Electro-Magnetic Pulse gun, was a personal weapon used to neutralize droids without damaging or destroying them by way of an electromagnetic pulse. The weapon's internal mechanisms were hardened against EMP, and were available in both pistol and carbine varieties. DEMP weapons were manufactured by both Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc. and Mekuun Corporation.
