Besides witch's scream in KQ1 (also used for Medusa in KQ3), punching sounds (Dracula being hit in the chest with a stake and mallet), and Dracula's Wilhelm death scream, "Land ho!" was the first use of speech synthesis of actual words to appear in the King's Quest series.
