The M3 Pounder HEG is the Terran Republic MAX's first generation Anti-Armor weapon. In general, the Pounder is better at close range anti-armor than the Fracture, but due to low projectile velocity and extreme drop it loses effectiveness past medium ranges. Against infantry the Pounder can be used with limited success, although it offers more anti-infantry potential than the Fracture. Like most explosives, the Pounder is very effective against other MAX units.
