A Roman Catholic Priest in Paris, Father Bernard, as a young boy, had also served in the French Resistance during the Second World War with, among others, Duncan MacLeod. He was stunned to see again a man he knew he had helped kill, a man who had been part of the German occupation of Paris in 1943. As a result of the sighting, he sought out Duncan MacLeod who had told their old compatriot, Georges Dalou, that it had been his father who had fought with the Resistance. Bernard now suspected that it was MacLeod himself, and he needed his unique brand of help.
