Brythigga was the Sacred Mother of Trees in Ashan, and the main giant tree that the elves of Irollan occupied. It was also the capital until it was burned down in 566 YSD, during is called the Day of the Tears of Fire. The replacement of the capital was the seasonal capitals Syris Thalla, Syris Vaniel,Syris Vaniel Syris Lothran, and Syris Wynna, representing spring, summer, autumn, and winter. After its destruction, it left a permanent scar on Ashan, so that never again would this region of Irollan ever flourish or be green.
