In Celtic mythology, Ogmios was the god of poetry, charm, and incantation. He was depicted as a wrinkled, bald old man in lion skins carrying a club and a bow. He supposedly was the inventor of Ogham, the rune-styled writing of the druids. His counterpart in Irish mythology was Ogma.
