Mak Sezala was a Bothan senator who represented the Bothan sector in the New Republic Senate following Borsk Fey'lya's election to Chief of State. He initially opposed Fey'lya's plan to lure the Yuuzhan Vong to uninhabited worlds via claims of hiding Jedi, but eventually supported it, 'contributing' several worlds from Bothan Space to the plan.
