The 1989 Nintendo Power Awards was the 2nd annual Awards published in the May/June 1990 issue (volume 12) of Nintendo Power magazine. It's nominees were listed in volume 11. Even though DuckTales was nominated for 6 out of the 8 awards, it didn't win anything. As for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, 4 of its 6 nominations were listed in the "Best Character" category: one for each Turtle.
