Varnani, known as Varuni in Hinduism, is the goddess of wine, liquor, and the 'golden nectar', and the consort of Varuna. She was birthed from the churning of amrita and is sometimes referred to as the daughter of Varuna. She is the secret form of Vajravarahi, a goddess of wisdom through experience that drives away evil spirits (i.e. depression) and also represents the purifying form of amrita.
