A manufacturer of modular synthesizer equipment, working in the Eurorack format. The company was founded in 2007 by Richard Nicol and, as the name suggests, is based in Pittsburgh, PA USA. Pittsburgh specializes in complex signal generators and non-traditional modules. In contrast to the exotic panel graphics used by many Eurorack-format module makers, Pittsburgh's modules are noted for their very plain panel style. Switches, knobs, and jacks are labeled in a text font that resembles the style produced by stick-on embossed label guns from the 1960s; there are no other graphics and the panel backgrounds are unpainted aluminum.
