Gnipper is the son of Gnasher, Dennis the Menace's trusty sidekick. He shares a strip with Gnasher called Gnasher and Gnipper. His name comes from his very sharp single tooth which he uses to nip people on the arse, often resulting in the local postman demanding compensation. Gnipper is also the brother of the five girl hounds; Gnatasha, Gnanette, Gnancy, Gnaomi and Gnorah. He currently lives with Dennis' Granny.
