Guy Anthony "Tony" Vandervell (8 September 1898 – 10 March 1967) was an English industrialist, motor racing financier, and founder of the Vanwall Formula One racing team. One of his employees included future Lotus boss, Colin Chapman. Unfortunately, increasing age and the strains of running a high-profile sporting team had taken its toll on Vandervell's health. The team continued half-heartedly, although they scaled back for the next two seasons, with a sole entry from Tony Brooks. In 1961, they finished racing, and Vandervell retired.
