On April 25th 2002, Konami Computer Entertainment Japan released the first GameBoy Advance Tennis no Oujisama game, titled: "Tennis no Oujisama: Genius Boys Academy" (TeniPuri: GBA). A fast-paced tennis game, the game included a fairly standard tennis-gameplay engine with the Seigaku Regulars as characters to select. The downside of TeniPuri:GBA was that there was a very limited number of characters to choose from, and a relatively small amount of special moves: the characters' more advanced moves had not been revealed yet in the series.
