The RG2670Z features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood findgerboard with wedge (or ghost) sharktooth position markers. Components include DiMarzio IBZ pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge with a zero-point system and a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines. In 2009, several related guitar models were released along with the RG2670Z, including the RG2620Z featuring two DiMarzio humbucking pickups and the RG2520ZE featuring EMG pickups.
