Kal was a Twi'lek male member of Dagger Wing, imprisoned on Belsavis along with the rest of the squadron after the Sith Lord Ondorru tricked them into bombing civilian targets on the planet Fest. During the invasion of Belsavis, Dagger Wing volunteered to aid the Republic prison forces keep order, and Kal remained at the Republic watchtower while several Dagger Wing personnel accompanied Guard Lieutenant Brok to secure a prisoner named Gouge. Havoc Squad soon arrived seeking the rest of the pilots, and Kal directed the soldiers to the labor camp where Brok and the Dagger Wing pilots were pinned down.
