The obverse depicts a portrait of Marianne with inscription REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE. The rear should have, like all other French coins, a wheat and olive branch. A rooster stands atop the stem. The country motto hanging at the bottom corner. Note the B under the date; some have no mark.
