88 Eridani is a star with an associated star system located in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. This type K orange star is in an area of space visible from Earth as part of the constellation of Eridanus. 88 Eridani was the site of a planetary system of fifteen worlds, all of which were found to be too hot to support Vulcan life when this system was explored by Vulcan starships as the first likely candidate for colonization during the Sundering.
