TibiCAM works by "recording" the information that is relayed between the player's client and the Tibia server. Since this is raw data, the .rec files that it produces are relatively small in size, much smaller than conventional digital video formats. TibiCAM is not against Tibia Rules because it does not "manipulate the client program" and it does not "automatically perform or repeat certain actions without any interaction by the player" . However CipSoft does not support the idea of TibiCAM, apparently due to the risk of quests getting spoiled and for the increased risk of account theft.
