Lyran Starfleet Medical was the branch of the Lyran Starfleet that was dedicated to the medical research and treatment of Starfleet crew. Due to the Lyrans' distrust of each other for medical matters, most non-Lyrans in the Lyran Starfleet served in Starfleet Medical. As such, it employed the counselors, the doctors and the medical technicians.
