The Whelen Company is divided into fours divisions and has a subsidiary called Whelen Motorsports. Whelen Motorsports is partnered with NASCAR and is the "Officially Licensed Warning Lights of NASCAR." It also sponsors and promotes the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour. As part of its Warning Light provision with NASCAR, Whelen manufactures the pit road lights, flashing either red or green to indicate whether the pit road is open or closed.
