Makbar was the Chief Archon on Cardassia Prime in 2370. She presided over the trial of Miles O'Brien, who was charged with smuggling weapons for the Maquis. (DS9: "Tribunal") According to a cut line from DS9: "Ties of Blood and Water", the Chief Archon tried to resist the Dominion takeover of Cardassia in 2373. In the novel The Never-Ending Sacrifice, this is the character Teretis Geyl, who is executed by the Jem'Hadar after her resistance fails.
