Bernadette Rice was a former news anchor and reporter for the GCCNN who became a believer in "The Remnant". She was assigned to cover the attempted assassination of Micah (who was Chaim Rosenzweig in disguise) by Morale Monitor Loren Hut in "Desecration" and saw that Micah was supernaturally protected by God. When she sneaked away, making it look like she was going to one of the "mark of loyalty" application centers, she actually went back to her hotel room to visit Dr. Tsion Ben-Judah's website. She fled Jerusalem along with a group of Israeli and Jewish refugees to Petra during Operation Eagle. It was after Nicolae Carpathia's failed attempt to destroy the citizens of Petra with two missiles and a "daisy cutter" that she became a believer.
