Arnie, also known as Little Arnie, was a young, wild meerkat born in the Swalu Kalahari Reserve, southern Africa, in 2002. His litter consisted of three-four pups. His mother was Mamma and his father was Digger. None of his siblings recieved names. Arnie was featured in The Mutual of Omaha's 2003 documentary Meerkats Unmasked (later released in 2010 as Meerkats, Part of the Team). It was this documentary that made him famous.
