The 301st Air Refueling Squadron is an inactive United States Air Force unit. It was last assigned to the 301st Air Refueling Wing, stationed at Lockbourne AFB, Ohio. It was inactivated on 31 December 1975. The squadron performed air refueling in support of USAF operations on a worldwide basis. The squadron was one of the first Strategic Air Command air refueling squadrons established in 1949; inactivated in 1962 with the phaseout of the propeller-driven KC-97 from SAC. Reactivated briefly in the early 1970s as a KC-135A squadron.
