you have to kill ash and take them from him -- -- Another clueless person. You get them by trading with Leaf Green or Fire Red. Or you can use a gameshark to "capture" them in the wild. If you are in an emulator, just set the code to capture them in the wild for gameshark. Most emulators have the choice to use gameshark codes :)
