Dirk Savage is a man who was hired by A. J. Howard to capture mutants. He originally believed that all mutants were evil, including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He eventually betrays Howard after realizing his employer's true intentions and that most mutants were friendly after all. Dirk Savage appears in the 1987 animated series in the episode "Dirk Savage: Mutant Hunter!". Savage possesses slightly more than standard human strength like smash two turlecoms in his bare hands, and has a large array of traps and weapons for hunting, mutants especially.
