Yoritomo Koji was a sailor of the Mantis Clan. He was tasked to track down pirates, and the shugenja Yoritomo Kyuko was appointed onboard the kobune to aid him. During a raging storm Kyuko's magic kept the ship from being completely destroyed, and when the pirate ship was seen, she unleashed the power of sea against them.
