The party's leadership structure is divided up into 4 separate leadership positions which have certain responsibilities that pertain to the operation of the party. The Leader of the party is the highest ranking official in the party and responsible for overseeing all aspects of it and appointing people to the provincial leadership positions. The UPEC Chairman is responsible for overseeing the party's election strategy and media affairs.
