Proteus was in the kitchen, having coffee and reading the morning newspaper when he heard someone crying in the next room. "I DID NOT DO IT!!" screamed a girl's voice. Proteus' wife, Giselle, looked at him. "I am going, I am going." he said, as he put down his coffee and the newspaper down and went into the next room. There, he saw his daughter Amy Rose with a toy hedgehog behind her back. Gumball Watterson, one of her brothers, was standing behind her, and Darwin Watterson, her other brother, was sitting on the floor, crying because Amy hit him on the head with her toy. "Are you lying to me?"
