A universe trap is a pocket universe that, due to the properties of its coupling to the local multiverse, is inescapable by ordinary methods (though powerful cosmic entities may find it possible or even easy to escape). There are many ways to produce a universe trap; one of the simplest, but most easily breakable, ways to produce a universe trap is to surround all portals out of the universe with white holes.
