He is sent to Mad Dog, Texas to pursue leads on a conspiracy story. He is arrested for drug possession and ends up being psychologically tortured. Eventually, he is broken out by Discordians under instruction from Hagbard Celine. It is from this point that he becomes further embroiled in the struggle between the Discordian Society and the Illuminati.
