With the Necasians overstretched combating the Sravs and DTM on other fronts, however, they were unable to launch a sustainable counterattack. Meanwhile, the Sravs were seeking retribution for damaging DTM attacks on their territory, and supreme Srav commander Ivran Gresev decided to take Myrkr, a strategic world from which assaults could be launched on nearby Necasian worlds. Srav heroine Nataska Vergulva was selected to lead the assault. She was ordered to locate some Necasian survivors and take them alive, if possible.
