(La. "lumikissat", sing. "lumikissa") These wily cats haunted the southern Ered Rhívamar sometimes ranging for game as far south as the Fire Tundra. They were extremely shy and avoided contact with Men. Due to their excellent senses, they often saw, heard or smelled anyone approaching, disappearing without the wanderer even contemplating their presence. Tracks in the snow were usually the only indication that a leopard was anywhere nearby. The cat was extremely agile, and could make quick, powerful strikes with its forepaws, but avoided a determined (or retreating) adversary. Once an opponent proved too powerful, it broke off the fight and fled at the first opportunity.
